Mohammed Al Jenaibi, Director of
Safety & Prevention, NCEMA and Al Berman
DRI Malaysia has been an active organizer
of DRI's Professional Business Continuity Management Certification
Course (BCLE2000) in the UAE. We previously have had the pleasure
of Mr Mohammed Al Jenaibi, Director of Safety & Prevention from
the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority
(NCEMA) to be one of our participants of the course. As such,
representatives of DRI were recently invited to speak at the Crisis
& Emergency Management Conference (CEMC) held at Fairmont Bab
Al Bahr Hotel in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates from January 16 to
1, 2012.
The conference, entitled "Preparing to Face the Challenges of
the Future: Innovative Solutions in Crisis & Emergency
Management" was organized by the Institute for Near East & Gulf
Military Analysis (INEGMA) in cooperation with NCEMA for the
purpose of promoting emergency and crisis management in the UAE
particularly, and also in the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council)
region. Also, the conference aims to enable local and national
organizations in the public and volunteer sectors to benefit from
the experiences and expertise of other countries through sharing
sessions on methods and systems with international experts.
Therefore, speakers who were flown in from the Middle East,
Australia, France, the United States, the UK and Korea from
differing backgrounds and industries shared on workshops and
conference sessions related to responding to crises and lessons
learned, resilience and key challenges, crisis management
coordination and cooperation and the current information
environment.
